The
Regional Passport Office Cochin commenced functioning as an independent Office
in 1975, consequent on the bifurcation of the Kerala region from the
jurisdiction of the Regional Passport Office,Chennai. The present
jurisdiction of the Regional Passport Office, Cochin comprises of the
districts of Alappuzha,
Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, Trichur
and the
Union Teritory of Lakshadweep .
