  GCKA Malayalam Kalari Registration 2026–2027 is Now Open!

  We are excited to invite all families to enroll their children in the GCKA Malayalam Kalari program for the academic year 2026–2027. Malayalam Kalari is designed to help our younger generation develop Malayalam reading, writing, and communication skills while fostering a strong connection to our rich cultural heritage and traditions. GCKA's Malayalam classes are part of its mission to preserve and promote Malayalam language and culture among children in our community.

  Registration for 2026- Onam Athapookalam contest

  As part of our Onam celebrations, we are delighted to invite you to participate in the Athapookalam (Pookalam) contest, a wonderful opportunity to showcase your creativity and celebrate the spirit of Onam with our community.
  

  
  

  Contest Guidelines:

  1. Each team must consist a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 members.
  2. Teams may prepare or sketch their Athapookkalam design in advance for planning purposes.
  3. The Athapookkalam must be created entirely at the venue on chart paper or a carpet during the competition.
  4. Pre-made Athapookkalams or pre-decorated carpets will not be accepted for judging.
  5. Teams must bring all required materials. GCKA will not provide any materials.
  6. Only natural flowers, leaves, and other decorative materials may be used.
  7. Artificial flowers are strictly prohibited.
  8. Teams are responsible for cleaning up their assigned area after the competition.
  9. The decision of the judging panel and GCKA Board of Directors will be final.
  10. If the minimum number of participating teams is not met, GCKA Board of Directors reserves the right to cancel the competition.

  3. The sadhya will be followed by the Cultural events at the same venue, starting at 1:45 PM ET.
